When to contact us
Most employment disputes in Lithuania go to the Labour Disputes Commission first. A well-prepared application determines which claims the Commission examines.
- You believe you were dismissed unlawfully.
- Your employer has not paid wages, severance or holiday pay.
- You received an unjustified disciplinary warning.
- Your employer changed your working conditions or pay unilaterally.
- You experienced psychological violence or discrimination at work.
1month
The deadline to apply to the Commission over an unlawful dismissal.
In other cases the deadline is three months from when you learned or should have learned of the breach. The Commission may restore a missed deadline if it finds the reasons important.
Labour Code, Article 220(1)–(2)
