When to contact us
An agreement ends the employment quickly and without a dispute. Once signed it is hard to challenge, so the terms are worth reviewing before you sign.
- Your employer has offered to terminate and you are unsure the offer is fair.
- You want to offer an employee an amicable exit without a dismissal procedure.
- You need to assess what compensation is reasonable.
- You are returning from parental leave and considering exit terms.
- Non-compete, confidentiality or settlement terms need drafting.
5working days
The time the other party has to reply to an offer to terminate.
The offer must be in writing and state the terms: end date, compensation, how unused leave is dealt with and settlement. If there is no reply within five working days, the offer is deemed rejected.
